Happy Honeymoon Travellers Epic Africa

We so enjoy helping to plan and book honeymoons for our guests. We loved this great feedback from happy honeymoon travellers Hayden and Mary Francis.

“Thank you, thank you, and thank you again for all of your help on our Honeymoon!!!! We had the trip of a lifetime and we will be back again very soon!!

Every aspect of our trip was perfect we have already recommended it to many of our friends! I have had about 10 calls asking for advice on where to go, what to see, and what to do!

Every place that we went kept getting better and better!  The first place we stayed Addo Bush Lodge had a wonderful “at home” feel with family style meals and outstanding customer service by all! Angelic was especially wonderful with great advice and history of the area around us! While at Addo we enjoyed a wonderful elephant ride and encounter!

It was only ten minutes away at a neighboring lodge we rode elephants with very educated guides who educated us on all elephants, we enjoyed feeding them as well as watching them interact with each other! We enjoyed a wonderful lunch prepared for the two of us on a porch with beautiful views!

After three wonderful nights at Addo Bush Lodge we made our way to Buffelsdrift!! Buffelsdrift was absolutely incredible, the tents were very impressive with the most beautiful bathrooms it was definitely “Glamping” at its finest! Our tent was right on the water so we got to enjoy our coffee on the porch by the water spotting hippos!! They have strategically placed the tents so they are very private and you cannot see the porch to the tent next to you easily which is nice!! Our only regret is not staying here more than one night!!

After Buffelsdrift we made our way to the coast to The Robberg in Plettenberg Bay! This was a very cute boutique style hotel with beautiful views of the water and mountains!! We made friends with the lovely woman at the front desk she treated us like kings!  The second night of our stay she upgraded us to a luxury suite that had a wonderful large balcony, a sitting room, and two bathrooms!! We spent our day here bungee jumping well I did, my wife stayed on land and took pictures!!  It was about a 45 min drive from The Robberg, but it was totally worth it!!  I do not think I will ever do it again, but I would recommend it to anyone who is trying to check it off of their bucket list. I’m proud to say I have bungeed from the world’s highest bungee, but like I said I don’t know if it is something I will ever do again!

After two great nights at The Robberg we made our way to the Whale Rock Lodge in Hermanus!! Again the hotel employees were very wonderful!  When we arrived they said our room was not ready yet that they were upgrading us to the president suite overlooking the pool! Of course we were ok with this!! They suggested we go to Bientang’s Cave Restaurant and wine bar while we waited, so we did just that! It was about a five minute drive into town and down by the water in a cave!! It was such a cool place with awesome views of the water!! After lunch we made our way back to Whale Rock to check into our room! The room was beautiful with a very upscale bath room and a wonderful view of the pool and gardens! Hermanus was my wife’s favorite beach town and I might have to agree with her! It was very cute and quaint with a lot of cute shops, great food, and a wonderful view! Unfortunately we did not see any whales but had heard there were some around earlier that morning!

After Whale Rock we made our way down to the best vineyard in South Africa Val Du Charron!!  The pictures of this place do not do it justice!!  Upon arrival we checked in, and were upgraded to suit 12 the presidential suite!  When you walk in the door you walk through a lovely little garden to your private porch with an infinity pool, fireplace, and spectacular views of the vineyards and mountains! Once settled in we went and enjoyed lunch at the Local Grill located right on the premises we both enjoyed a deliciously juicy hamburger with onion rings, and French fries!!

Later that evening we enjoyed the Theatre of Wine on the lawn! This was a wine tasting with stories of each wine! It was definitely one of the coolest things we experienced!! For dinner we walked back up to the Local Grill and had a wonderful steak dinner! While staying in Wellington we spent a day in Franschhoek which such a cute little town with lots of shopping!! We enjoyed a wonderful lunch, private wine tour and tasting at Grande Provence wine estate!! Our last day in SA we spent in Cape Town we ventured our way to the top of table mountain and then spent the remainder of the day at The Waterfront shopping until it was time to head to the airport!!! Our trip was phenomenal and would not have been possible without the help of Catherine and Yvonne !!!” Hayden & Mary Francis Entwistle, USA Oct 2016
